Floatation Systems (DAFs) are systems in which suspended particles are floated on the surface by compressed air blower. For this purpose, an under pressure reactor is used for partial saturating of the filtered water by the air outlet. The entire flow of air remains in the reactor for a few minutes to provide an opportunity to dissolve the air in the water. The pressured flow then passes through a pressure breaker valve and the bubbles enter the ADF tank at a pressure above atmospheric pressure. Air bubbles stick to solids and also insoluble liquid, and its density drops to a particle rise.<\/p><p>The main advantage of Dissolved Air Floatation Systems (DAFs) in comparison with sedimentation is that small or light particles that are gently deposited can be eliminated more fully and in a shorter time. DAF systems reduce the TSS, BOD, COD, fat, oil and algae more
